  • The resurrection of Schrocky
Check out today's story on the Komets, who are off to a 2-0-0 start this season. We explore how and why the captain, Lincoln Kaleigh Schrock, has looked so good, so far this season.

K's take the lead

A fantastic Colin Chaulk pass set up Mike Vaskivuo for the only goal of the second period, and the Komets lead the Missouri Mavericks 2-1 in the opening game of the best-of-seven Turner Conference finals.

One thing I've noticed is that the Mavericks keep looking for the back-door pass to get at the Fort Wayne goal. You think Rapid City coach Joe Ferras called Missouri's Scott Hillman with that advice?

Fort Wayne's Tom Mele is hitting everything in sight. The Komets really need to get him on the ice more.

Missouri has a ton of skill, especially up front, but it's unclear how much grit it has. But the hitting has really picked up, so I guess we'll find out.
