University of Saint Francis biology student Jessica Black gets a lesson Thursday from professional drummer Bill Nathan in the amphitheater outside the Pope John Paul II Center. Nathan, a former Haitian child slave who was rescued and sent to St Joseph’s Home for Boys in Port-au-Prince, shared his story. He will perform at the fourth annual Formula for Life 5K walk-run and auction at 1 p.m. Sunday at Hutzell Athletic Center. Funds raised go to provide food for a Haitian orphanage.
