Indiana’s Cream bests Crimson

BLOOMINGTON – The Cream squad defeated the Crimson squad 19-16 in Indiana’s spring football game after rain forced the matchup indoors.

Saturday’s game was moved indoors from Memorial Stadium to Mellencamp Pavilion when thunderstorms arrived following the first quarter.

Sophomore quarterback Tre Roberson, who emerged as the starter in the 2011 season, scored on a two-yard touchdown at the end of the first quarter for Cream’s only touchdown of the day.

Sophomore running back Isaiah Roundtree scored both touchdowns for the Crimson squad, including a 50-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.

The rest of the scoring came off the foot of junior kicker Mitch Ewald, who finished 5-for-7 on field goal attempts and was 2-for-3 on extra points.

The Cream and Crimson game concluded IU’s official spring schedule.
