Lulled to sleep

The Missouri Mavericks seem to have completely lulled the Komets to sleep.

The Komets have stopped shooting and when they do, they miss the net, and they trail the Mavericks 3-1 after two period at Memorial Coliseum.

The Komets had pulled within one, when defenseman Jamie Lovell's shot from 50 feet out caromed its way into the net. But less than four minutes later, Missouri's Patrick Shafer answered with a shot from the right circle that beat goalie Gerry Festa's glove on the far side. Festa has stopped 4 of 5 shots in 27:51. Wow.
