Goalie shuffle

Coming into the series, I gave the goaltending advantage to the Komets. I may have been mistaken.

Charlie Effinger has been tremendous for the Missouri Maverics, who lead 2-0 tonight in Game 2 of the Turner Conference finals. He's stopped 16 shots through one period. Although, he was aided by Mike Vaskivuo and Chris Auger missing the net from point-blank range.

Meanwhile, Nick Boucher was yanked after allowing two goals on seven shots. I don't blame coach Al Sims for the decision. The first one was off a rebound. The second one saw Ed McGrane get a breakaway, miss the net and, as Boucher took his sweet time getting up, have Andrew Courtney fire it in from the right boards.

So, Gerry Festa is in net for the Komets.
