Motorcyclist in fatal crash is identified

A man who died in a motorcycle crash Friday night has been identified, according to a report from the Allen County Coroner’s Office.

Timothy W. Myrice, 42, of Huntington, died about 8:15 p.m. when he lost control of his motorcycle at Lower Huntington Road and Elzey Street, the statement said.

Myrice was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and died from blunt force trauma, the coroner’s office said.

He was taken to Lutheran Hospital following the crash and died a short time later. Myrice’s death was the 6th traffic fatality in 2012 in Fort Wayne and Allen County, the report said.
