Cadets double up Braves

– Concordia scored five runs in the fourth inning on the way to an 8-4 win over Blackhawk Christian in baseball Friday.

Clay Evans hit a home run for the Cadets in the home win. Brian Gremaux was the winning pitcher.

Reid Zimmerman hit a home run and tripled for the Braves.

NEW HAVEN 10, BISHOP DWENGER 6: Spencer Place had two hits and scored three runs for the Bulldogs in a home win. He also had an RBI. Scott Ferguson picked up the win, and Kyle Sovine earned the save.

T.J. Gabet had three hits, including a home run, and three RBI for Bishop Dwenger.

Tennis

CONCORDIA 5, DEKALB 0: Margaret Fritz, Morgan Schlagenhauf and Lauren Marinko won singles matches for the visiting Cadets. Gwen and Jaclyn Berning won at No. 1 doubles. Ketmany Guenin and Carolynn Stouder won at No. 2 doubles.

HOMESTEAD 3, NORTHRIDGE 2: Mary Rajchel and Leah Rumancik won at No. 2 and No. 3 singles in the Spartans’ home win. Kelsey Vessels and Allison Overlander won at No. 1 doubles.

Softball

WAWASEE 3, MANCHESTER 1: Victoria Warren had two hits and scored a run for the Warriors in a home victory. Gabi Routson struck out eight and hit a home run. Kylie Norris also scored a run for Wawasee.

LAKEWOOD PARK CHRISTIAN 1, LAKELAND 0: Mikeila Boroff struck out 15 for the Panthers in the home win. Brittan Carnahan hit a home run in the sixth inning for the game’s only run.

COLUMBIA CITY 9, WHITKO 0: Claire Kauffman went 3 for 3 with a double for the Eagles in a home win. Hannah Schnorr also had three hits.

Golf

BLACKHAWK CHRISTIAN 172, CHURUBUSCO 179: Conler Brandenberger shot a 42 for the Braves at Cherry Hill.
