Not really a surprise here, but former Luers star Anthony Spencer was a no-show for offseason workouts for the Cowboys.
Apparently, this is because the Cowboys strapped the franchise tag on him, and Spencer wants a long-term deal. So he's signed only a 1-year, $8.8-million deal. This is essentially the same scenario in New Orleans, where Drew Brees, upset over being franchise-tagged, isn't expected to show for offsesason workouts, either.
One interesting note: Spencer has also dumped local agent Roosevelt Barnes and hired Jordan Woy as his new rep.
