I don't if this was karma or not, considering how the ever-more-obvious hypocrisy of the BCS is starting to make the whole rotten edifice crumble like old plaster.
What I will say is the imagery is altogether too neat: Alabama's $30,000 crystal football, emblematic of its BCS title, shatters; the BCS itself might be, too.
What I'll also say is you've gotta feel for the parent of the player who tripped over the rug and knocked the thing off its pedestal, smashing it to shards. He can't be feeling too good right now.
So, I went to the spring game, and guess what, honey? I broke the national championship trophy! How was your day?
And how about the player in question?
You've gotta know he just went from second on the depth chart to holding the depth chart. Ouch.
