High winds postpone Berry closure

FORT WAYNE – Berry Street is scheduled to close to all traffic between Clinton and Barr streets.

The closure will be from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, the Fort Wayne Traffic Engineering Department announced Monday. The closure was originally scheduled for today, but high winds made that impossible.

It said CMS Roofing Inc. will put up a large crane in the street to lift roofing materials to the top of the Anthony Wayne Building.

Drivers are urged to use Barr, Main and Clinton streets as alternate routes.

Access to the Citizens Square parking lot will be available from Barr and Clinton streets, the department said.
