It went down to the wire for the Snider tennis team Monday night. Two wires, actually.
The Panthers needed three-set victories from Adriana Espino at No. 1 singles and Jada Gordon and Hannah Bair at No.2 doubles to get past North Side, 3-2.
Espino dropped the first set to Breana Dufor 7-6 but rebounded to close it out 6-2, 6-3. Gordon and Bair, meanwhile, won 7-6, 1-6, 6-1.
CARROLL 16, BISHOP LUERS 5: The host Chargers jumped on Luers for six runs in the bottom of the first. Grant Wilson knocked in five runs and Drue Tranquill four for Carroll.
CONCORDIA 4, BISHOP DWENGER 1: The Cadets won all three singles matches to vault past the Saints. Margaret Fritz won in three sets in No. 1 singles and Morgan Schlagenhauf and Lauren Marinko won in straight sets.
ADAMS CENTRAL 10, NORWELL 2: A five-run sixth put it away for the Flying Jets, who raked the Knights for 13 hits.
WARSAW 3, WAWASEE 1: Warsaw broke a 1-1 tie with two runs in the sixth at Wawasee.
CARROLL 12, WHITKO 9: The Chargers and host Wildcats combined for 29 hits. Carroll scored three runs in the top of the seventh to break a 9-all tie.
CONCORDIA 5, ANGOLA 4: Down 4-1 after four innings, the host Cadets scored two in the fifth, one in the sixth and one in the bottom of the seventh to clip Angola.
Anna Schillingers solo homer tied it in the sixth and Alex Springer drove in the winning run in the seventh.
LEO 11, BELLMONT 0: Jessica Claxton pitched a one-hit shutout for the host Lions, striking out eight. Leo scored eight of its runs in the last two innings.
