TinCaps fall to Dragons

Junior Arias and Yovan Gonzalez hit home runs for Dayton in a 9-4 victory against the TinCaps in front of 5,853 fans Wednesday at Parkview Field.

Jace Peterson had two hits and scored two runs for Fort Wayne (4-9).

Arias hit a three-run home run in the fourth inning to give the Dragons a 4-1 lead. Gonzalez hit a solo home run to lead off the seventh. Dayton scored four runs in the inning.

Fort Wayne starting pitcher Joe Ross gave up five runs on six hits in five innings.

Ryan Wright, a Homestead graduate, went 1 for 4 with a walk and one RBI. He was 4 for 14 with two RBI in the series.
