K's dominate but don't score

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. -- The second period was a dominating one for the Komets -- they outshot the Missouri Mavericks 19-10 -- but neither team scored.

So we're tied at 1 in Game 3 of the Turner Conference finals, led 2-0 by the Mavericks.

There was a strange call on Fort Wayne's Brent Henley, who got whistled for delay of game for catching the puck mid-air and taking a little too long to drop it because he got hit from behind. I don't think I've seen that call made too many times in the playoffs.

Missouri is 0 for 5 on the power play. Fort Wayne is 0 for 3.

I think Tom Mele has gotten only one shift for Fort Wayne. I don't get it. Coach Al Sims needs to get him out there for some energy and goal scoring.
