INDEPENDENCE, Mo. -- Wow, the Independence Events Center is one awesome arena. There isn't a bad seat in the house. Everything is close. It's a bit like U.S. Cellular Coliseum in Bloomington, Ill., but nicer. If they were to build L.C. Walker Arena in Muskegon, Mich., again today, it would end up looking like this I'd bet.

And I'm a sucker for having a band outside playing when you walk into the building.
