1 killed, 5 hurt in crash

One person was killed and five others were injured in a crash early Tuesday in Adams County.

The crash occurred about 8 a.m. near Indiana 124 and County Road 400 West. Soon after emergency responders arrived, they transported two people to separate Fort Wayne hospitals in separate helicopters, the Adams County Sheriff’s Department said.

The Adams County coroner declared one person dead at the scene, the statement said, and the other people injured were taken by ambulance to Adams Memorial Hospital.

Police said there was no other information, and the crash is under investigation.
