In an NHC baseball game that featured more than one sway in momentum, the host Lions scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh Tuesday to put away Columbia City, 8-7. The Lions led 3-0 after two innings and 6-3 after three, only to see Columbia City plate four runs in the sixth to take a 7-6 lead into the seventh.
But the Lions surged back behind Kyle Santilli, who went 2 for 3 with three RBI, and Trey Phillips, who went 2 for 4.
CONCORDIA 3, CARROLL 2: The Cadets won both doubles matches in straight sets to win at Carroll. Lauren Marinko beat Catherine Curtis 6-1, 6-1 in No. 3 singles to pick up Concordia’s third point.
DEKALB 158, EAST NOBLE 164: Spencer Shoemaker shot an even-par 35 to lead the Barons at Bridgewater West.
BISHOP DWENGER 81.5, CONCORDIA 50, BISHOP LUERS 34.5: Dwenger won two of the three relays and five other events.
NORTH SIDE 74, SOUTH SIDE 56: North Side won two of the three relays and seven other events.
CONCORDIA 98, BISHOP DWENGER 41, BISHOP LUERS 19: Concordia won every individual event but three and two of the three relays.
