FORT WAYNE – Purdue Master Gardener volunteers will offer a wide variety of annual and perennial plants for sale at the Allen County Extension Office from 1 to 4 p.m. on May 5 and June 2.
The plants for the sale are homegrown by Master Gardener volunteers and are also dug from their gardens or the educational Display Gardens at the Extension office.
A large number of gardening books will be available. Kathryn Kaspar Place, a non-profit agency that works with refugees in Fort Wayne, will offer vegetable transplants to help support that organization.
The Fort Wayne Arborist Association will also be offering low-cost tree saplings at the sale.
Proceeds help support the Display Gardens at the Extension Office and the Purdue Master Gardener program in Allen County. Free parking is available at the parking garage across from the Extension office on the IPFW campus.
On June 2, handmade items from Kelly House will be on sale along with native prairie perennial “orphans” propagated from endangered remnant areas in our area.
The events will occur or shine. Call the Allen County Extension office at 481-6826 for more information.
