Notre Dame couldn’t hold off Indiana, and eventually lost to the Hoosiers 5-4 in overtime in an exhibition at the Shindigz National Soccer Festival Saturday at Parkview Field.
The Irish pulled ahead 4-3 on a goal by Alex Priede with 2:21 to play. But Indiana scored with seven seconds left to send the game to overtime. The Hoosiers’ Jacob Bushue provided the game-winner in the 96th minute.
“We should have closed it off,” Notre Dame coach Bobby Clark said. “Looking at it from our point of view, that was disappointing. You’ve got the game, you’ve got to know how to close it down. We did not do a good job with that. It was still fun.”
