Clinton rallies in 8th to beat TinCaps

Clinton scored three runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to claim a 5-3 come-from-behind victory over the TinCaps on Monday at Ashford University Field in Clinton, Iowa.

The TinCaps (6-12) took a 3-0 lead in the top of the first inning on RBI hits from Donavan Tate and Zach Kometani and a balk. But the TinCaps were held scoreless the rest of the way out by four Lumber Kings pitchers.

Justin Miller, Kometani and Duanel Jones had two hits each for the TinCaps, who play Clinton at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.
