Fort Wayne rallied for four runs with two outs in the top of the ninth to defeat Clinton 7-3 at Ashford University Field on Tuesday.
The TinCaps' Jace Peterson broke a 3-run tie by driving in Matthew Colantonio with a single, and Justin Miller added another run to the lead with an RBI single. Casey McElroy doubled to center field to bring Peterson and Miller.
The victory snapped a two-game losing streak for the TinCaps (7-12), who return to Parkview Field for a six-game homestand starting Wednesday against Burlington.
Clinton (7-12) scored in the first inning only to let the TinCaps tie the game in third. The LumberKings went up 3-1in the fourth, but Fort Wayne tied the game again with two runs in the sixth.
John Barbato (2-0) picked up the win giving up one hit and no runs in two innings of relief for starter Matthew Wisler, who gave up three runs on six hits with four strikeouts in six innings.
Trevor Miller (1-1) took the loss for Clinton, giving up four runs on six hits in 3 1/3 innings.
