Bishop Dwenger slugs way past East Noble

Led by two home runs from catcher Sean Herberger, Bishop Dwenger combined for seven extra-base hits in Kendallville to take a 19-4 victory from East Noble on Monday.

The Saints had 15 hits altogether, led by Herberger, who went 4 for 5 with seven RBI and five runs scored. Luke Palmer also had a home run for Dwenger, which scored 15 runs in the final three innings.

Brett Lochbihler and Casey Jackson added three RBI each.


COLUMBIA CITY 11, BELLMONT 1: Allie Vodde went 4 for 4 and scored three runs and pitcher Cassie Vodde held Bellmont to two hits for the host Eagles.

WOODLAN 13, WAYNE TRACE 2: Madelynne Hostetler had four hits, scored three times and drove in six runs as visiting Woodlan won its 13th game without a loss.

HOMESTEAD 13, EAST NOBLE 8: Allie Gallmeyer and Jessica Schneider had four RBI each for the host Spartans.

CARROLL 11, NORWELL 0: Emily Catanzarite had three RBI for the visiting Chargers.


ADAMS CENTRAL 4, JAY COUNTY 3: Warren Burkhart drove in Hayden Black with the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning for the host Flying Jets.

CONCORDIA 5, NORTHROP 0: Concordia lost only six games in its match at Northrop.

CARROLL 4, WARSAW 1: Rachel Sutton won 6-2, 6-1 at No. 1 singles for the host Chargers.

COLUMBIA CITY 5, WHITKO 0: Visiting Columbia City swept all five matches in straight sets.
