The TinCaps struck out a season high 16 times in a 3-1 loss to Burlington in front of 2,759 fans Wednesday at Parkview Field.

Here are the highlights:

Big arm: Sean Murphy had 13 strikeouts for the Bees.

Key hit: Douglas Landaeta hit a three-run home run for Burlington in the fifth inning. The hit came with two outs.

Not bad himself: Losing pitcher Cody Hebner had seven strikeouts. He gave up two hits in his five innings of work. He made one major mistake, giving up the three-run homer to Landaeta.

Key sequence: Jace Peterson led off the bottom of the first with a triple for the TinCaps. Murphy struck out the next three batters – Justin Miller, Casey McElroy and Travis Whitmore – looking.
