OK, so this seems about right.
I could have gone up to 10 games, maybe 12 for the Basketball Player Formerly Known As Ron Artest, whose vicious and unprovoked elbow to James Harden's head rightly drew universal ire. But a seven-game suspension at least isn't five, which would have been too few.
Then again, I wouldn't have kicked much if David Stern had decided to go all Roger Goodell and suspend World Peace for the rest of the season, including playoffs. After all, if he connects with Harden's temple instead of his jaw, he could have killed him.
