Irish add 12th commitment

Notre Dame's football recruiting class for 2013 reached an even dozen Thursday.

Mike Heuerman, a tight end from Barron Collier High School in Naples, Fla., orally committed to the Irish.

Heuerman posted on his Twitter account (@Mheuerman9): "Officially committed to play football for the University of Notre Dame. #GoIrish."

The 6-foot-6, 215-pounder is rated a four-star prospect and the No. 10 tight end in the country by Rivals.com.
