    Jessica Hall gave up only three hits to IPFW and the UCLA softball team defeated the Mastodons 8-0 on Saturday to end IPFW's season at the NCAA Regional in Louisville, Ky.
  • Mastodons to regionals
    IPFW senior Theresa McHugh and freshman Rachel Dincoff have earned spots at the NCAA East Region Preliminary Championships, which begins May 23 in Greensboro, N.C.
  • Softball players honored
    IPFW junior Ashleigh Bousquet and sophomore Larissa Franklin were named to the Summit League Softball Academic All-League team, as voted on by the schools’ faculty athletics representatives and sports information directors.

IPFW women's tennis in finals

The IPFW women's tennis team advanced to Saturday's championship match of the Summit League tournament with a 4-3 victory over UMKC on Friday in Kansas City, Mo.

The second-seeded Mastodons will face top-seeded Oral Roberts at 11 a.m. Saturday for the league title and a berth in the NCAA tournament.

IPFW got singles wins by Raquel Vescovi (No. 3), Caterina Kiefer (No. 4) and Alex Forsyth (No. 6) to go along with the doubles point it had won earlier in the match.

Forsyth and Anita Henestrosa won at No. 2 doubles, while Vescovi and Frederique Sunstrum won at No. 3.
