Bandit flees with bag of Rally’s cash

A man robbed a fast-food restaurant on Fort Wayne’s north side and left with a bag of cash, according to a police report.

The robber entered Rally’s at 4810 Coldwater Road and screamed at a worker to “get on the ground” and give him money, the report said.

The worker took an undisclosed amount of cash from a drawer and put it in a Rally’s bag. The robber fled with the money and might have gone east behind a nearby shopping center, the report stated.

Police were called to the restaurant about 11:40 p.m. Tuesday.

The robber was described as about 6-foot with a skinny build. He was wearing all black and had on a black stocking cap. An employee believed the robber was white but wasn’t sure, according to the report.

No weapon and no injuries were mentioned in the report.
