Robbery suspects remain in bank, police say

SPRINGBORO, Ohio – Police said two suspected robbers have refused to leave a bank in southwest Ohio and a SWAT team is on the scene of the standoff.

The dispatcher said suspects wearing masks entered the bank shortly before it was scheduled to open around 9 a.m.

No injuries have been reported.

An FBI spokesman in Cincinnati said only one employee was believed to be in the bank at the time of the alleged robbery, and that employee got out safely.

FBI spokesman Michael Brooks said the suspects are believed to be armed. He said the FBI is working with local authorities in negotiations to get the suspects to surrender.
