Speed, team defense and scorching outside shooting trumped size Saturday in the girls end of the Nancy Rehm/Border Walls Classic at Saint Francis.
Ohio exploited the former and Indiana didn’t get nearly enough out of the latter as Ohio rolled 104-71, led by a game-high 23 points from Jamie Sobczak and 19 and four steals from game MVP Cat Wells.
Indiana, which sent out six players 5-foot-11 or taller and outrebounded Ohio 53-35, was led by South Side grad Jomani Thomas and Bishop Luers grad Miracle Woods, who each scored 13.
Indiana Miss Basketball Jessica Rupright from Norwell had seven points and seven rebounds.
Ohio, meanwhile, rode a ball-hawking defense that forced 27 turnovers, and, at the other end, a dozen three-pointers.
