Ferrell to return as host of ‘SNL’


Will Ferrell will be the host for the penultimate episode of the 37th season of “Saturday Night Live,” NBC announced Friday.

The May 12 episode will be the third time hosting for the actor and “SNL” alum. Ferrell’s next movie is “The Campaign,” scheduled for release Aug. 10.

Ferrell will be joined by Usher, who will make his third appearance as musical guest. Usher’s seventh studio album, “Looking for Myself,” is due June 12.

Eli Manning was previously announced as host of the May 5 episode with musical guest Rihanna.

The host and musical guest for the May 19 episode have not been released, but the finale slots are usually reserved for A-list stars.
