  • Some updates for you
I don't have anything new to report on the alleged merger between the ECHL and CHL -- wouldn't it actually be an absorption of the CHL?
  • 18 Komets road games on TV this season
Eighteen Komets road games this season will be broadcast live on MyTV Fort Wayne. Play-by-play duties will be handled by 21 Alive’s Tommy Schoegler and Kent Hormann.
  • Komets sign three players
The Komets added goaltender Eric Levine, forward Nicola Levesque and defenseman Paul Arnott to their roster Tuesday, giving them 24 players so far for the upcoming season.

Komets surge to 4-2 lead

WICHITA, Kan. -- The Komets lead the Wichita Thunder 4-2 after two periods at Intrust Bank Arena, and I'd say it's officially time for the Thunder to be worried.

I can't imagine the Komets winning the first two games, then getting three in a row at home, and losing the series.

The Thunder needs this one, badly.

Goalie Adam Russo was yanked, after stopping 16 of 20 shots. He was foiled in the second period by rookie Daniel Maggio on a shot from the point, then on a power-play rebound by Chris Auger and Mike Vaskivuo on another rebound.

Bryan Hogan replaced Russo.

Fort Wayne's Nick Boucher has stopped 17 of 19 shots.
