TinCaps defeat Peoria

Fort Wayne scored seven runs in the first inning on the way to an 8-4 victory against Peoria in front of 5,258 fans Monday at Parkview Field.

Austin Hedges hit a two-run homer. Jace Peterson had a three-run triple.

Cody Hebner pitched into the sixth inning to earn the victory.

Fort Wayne took two of three in the series from the Chiefs. It's the first time the TinCaps have won a series at Parkview Field this season.
