Severe thunderstorm watch issued

The National Weather Service in Norman, Okla., has issued a severe thunderstorm watch until 10 p.m. for a number of counties in Indiana, including Adams, Huntington and Wells counties in northeast Indiana.

All of northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio are likely to see storms, but isolated thunderstorms in the watch area could see damaging winds up to 60 mph and hail up to an inch.

Pea-sized hail and heavy rain were reported in the Huntington area about 2 p.m. by a trained spotter, the weather service said.
