3-year-old, teen hit in shooting

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Columbus police say they’ve arrested an 18-year-old man suspected of shooting into a crowd during a confrontation and injuring a 3-year-old boy and a 13-year-old boy.

Officers said the suspect pulled out a gun and fired toward onlookers during a fight between two groups of people at an intersection Sunday evening.

The injured boys were taken to a hospital in stable condition. Police did not release information about their injuries.

Police said Dremahl Anthony was taken into custody after fleeing the scene. WBNS-TV reported that investigators found him at a home several blocks from the shooting scene.

He is charged with two counts of felonious assault, as well as improperly firing into a habitation. His arraignment is scheduled Tuesday.

Court records did not list an attorney for Anthony.
