Fishermen in eastern Ohio find body along river

EAST LIVERPOOL, Ohio (AP) — Police in eastern Ohio say a body found by fishermen along the Ohio River may be that of a man believed to have fallen from a bridge more than two weeks ago.

The body was found Monday along a riverbank in East Liverpool, near the intersection of the Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia state lines.

The Review newspaper in East Liverpool reports identification on the body indicated it was a 64-year-old man from the area.

Emergency responders in boats had unsuccessfully searched the river on April 13 after people fishing beneath a toll bridge reported hearing a splash and someone calling out for help. Police say it would be hard to determine if that person fell or jumped from the bridge.
