Casey McElroy hit two home runs to lead the TinCaps to an 11-1 victory against host Dayton on Sunday at Fifth Third Field.
Mike Gallic also homered as Fort Wayne won its third straight game for the first time this season.
McElroy hit a two-run home run in the first inning.
The TinCaps (13-17) tacked on three more runs in the second. Jace Peterson and Kyung-Min Na had back-to-back run-scoring extra-base hits to give Fort Wayne a 4-1 lead. Na later scored on an error to make it 5-1.
Gallic hit his first home run of the year in the third inning. McElroy hit another two-run home run in the fourth to extend the lead to 8-1. Fort Wayne scored three more times in the sixth, as Duanel Jones knocked in a run with a sacrifice fly and Gallic drove in two with a single to center
Cody Hebner pitched a career-high six innings and tied his career high by striking out nine Dragons (12-18). Dayton has lost seven straight. Hebner allowed one run on four hits and surrendered two walks
