Purdue wide receiver Antavian Edison was arrested Sunday on suspicion of carrying a concealed weapon in his hometown of Fort Myers, Fla., according to reports.
The charge, according to the Fort Myers News-Press, is a felony. Edison was arrested at 1:57 a.m. Sunday in Fort Myers, the Fort Myers News-Press reported, and released later that morning on $1,500 bond.
Edison led the Boilermakers with 584 receiving yards as a junior in 2011. He was second on the team with 44 catches and three touchdown receptions. He also had 30 rushes for 124 yards and two rushing touchdowns.
