Adys Portillo threw six shutout innings as the TinCaps defeated West Michigan 4-0 in front of 3,490 fans Monday at Parkview Field.

Portillo gave up four hits to improve to 3-1.

Austin Hedges hit a solo home run. Travis Whitmore had three singles and scored one run. Mike Gallic had three singles and one RBI.
