TinCaps lead after six innings

Fort Wayne leads West Michigan 1-0 after six innings Monday at Parkview Field.

The TinCaps scored in the sixth inning. Travis Whitmore and Mike Gallic singled with two outs. Casey McElroy then hit a hard one-hopper to first baseman Aaron Westlake. He knocked it down, but then threw wildly while trying to get an out at first base. Whitmore came around from second to score.
