New Haven senior Te'Vaughn Hurse injured his ankle in the finals of the 100-meter dash Thursday in the Wayne boys track sectional.

The injury occurred late in the race, and Hurse laid down on the track afterward and was attended to by a trainer. He finished ninth in the race in a time of 12.05.

New Haven coach Pat Monaghan said later that Hurse was out for the remainder of the sectional.

Hurse had the fourth-best 100 time in the state at 10.80 coming into the sectional.
