TinCaps tied after 3 innings

Saturday's game between Fort Wayne and Bowling Green is tied at 1 after three innings at Parkview Field.

Bowling Green scored on a two-out double by Jeff Malm in the first inning. Fort Wayne pitcher Adys Portillo had not allowed a run in 21 consecutive innings.

Fort Wayne scored in the bottom of the first. Travis Whitmore singled. Casey McElroy then hit a single to center. The ball skipped by Todd Glaesmann and went all the way to the wall. Whitmore scored from first to tie the game.
