Friday tasting at Coldwater Cap n' Cork

Lebamoff's Cap n' Cork (5430 Coldwater Road , 483-1147) is hosting a free beer, wine and liquor tasting from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday.

The available beverages include nine beers, 12 liquors and nine wines.

If you go, be sure to give the Apothic White wine a taste. I tried it for the first time at dinner on Thursday and proclaimed it a new favorite. The wine is a mixture of Moscato, Reisling and Chardonnay, making it sweeter than a dry wine, but with that lovely aftertaste of a dry.

The beers include a variety of cider and fruit beers, and more than half the liquors are Skinnygirl.
