FORT WAYNE – Most of the city’s free splash pads will be turned on Friday, with plans to keep them turned on until Labor Day.
At this time, the splash pad at Shoaff Park is not operational, but is expected to be up and running soon, according to a written statement issued Wednesday by the Parks & Recreation Department.
It said Northside Pool will be open May 26-28 and June 2 and 3, opening daily starting June 9. McMillen Pool will be open June 2 and 3, with daily hours also starting June 9. Memorial Pool will open for the season on June 9.
Splash pads are located at the following parks:
Buckner Park, 6114 Bass Road; from noon to 8 p.m. daily.
Kreager Park (Taylor’s Dream), 7225 N. River Road; from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, and noon to 8 p.m. weekdays.
McCormick Park, 2300 Raymond & Holly; from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, and noon to 8 p.m. weekdays.
Memorial Park, 2301 Maumee & Glasgow; from noon to 8 p.m. daily.
Robert E. Meyers Park, inside North Gate of Parkview Field on Jefferson Boulevard; open to the public from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. on days without scheduled events
Shoaff Park, 6401 St. Joe Road; from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, and noon to 8 p.m. weekdays.
Waynedale Park, 2900 Koons & Elzey; from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, and noon to 8 p.m. weekdays.
