Bicycle events to restrict Clinton traffic

FORT WAYNE – The Indiana Department of Transportation issued a reminder Wednesday that lanes of Clinton Street (U.S. 27) in Fort Wayne will close all day Saturday for the Fort4Fitness Spring Cycle and Tour de Fort Wayne.

The lane restrictions are scheduled to begin at 5 a.m. Saturday.

  • U.S. 27/Clinton Street will have the left two lanes restricted from south of Elizabeth Street to Superior Street in to accommodate riders for three bicycle tours. At approximately 10 a.m., 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., Fort Wayne police will briefly stop traffic on US 27/Clinton Street to launch each of the bike tours.
  • The right three lanes of US 27/Clinton Street will be restricted between Superior Street and Berry Street to accommodate riders for criterium bicycle races, which will take place throughout the day.
The lane restrictions will be lifted by 10 p.m., INDOT said.
