Shooter's Comments:

I came back from this morning's assignment and had the dreaded compact flash card error. The drive mounted, but the image folder was corrupted. While we don't expect it, this this stuff happens.

This card was pretty much brand new, just a month old and cost $100. I'm not sure there is a good fix for this problem. I would say shooting on smaller cards and changing them more frequently pose their own problems, too. Thankfully for $40.00, "Card Rescue," was able to recover my files. I'm glad this didn't happen when I was on a tighter deadline, since it took about 30 minutes to get the files from the card.
