Sookie is a 3-year-old spayed black and white declawed domestic short hair cat.

“I am a very sweet girl once I feel comfortable. I do not understand why I am at the shelter and it has taken me a while to adjust.

“My family said I am very loving of people and love to be around them; maybe I just need some time to get familiar with my surroundings. I am affectionate and do like to be loved on.

“I am all four feet declawed. The staff feels I would do well with children of all ages as long as they treat me nicely and give me time to warm up.

“I have lived with another cat in the past and did very well. I don’t think I would mind being around dogs either as long as they are cat friendly and give me space also.

“If you are looking for a sweet kitty to add to your home with beautiful green eyes then please ask to meet with me!”

She is available for adoption at the Allen County SPCA, 4914 Hanna St.

The shelter is open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays.
