An attic fire damaged a house Friday night on Fort Waynes north side, according to the city fire department.
At 7:45 p.m., firefighters were sent to 320 Lillian Ave., east of Wells Street, and found smoke coming from the front of the house.
Firefighters put out flames in the attic, keeping them from spreading. Two adults safely escaped the house on their own.
From the time fire crews arrived, it took 13 minutes to bring the blaze under control. The damage was moderate, the department said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
