TinCaps trail after six innings

Bowling Green leads Fort Wayne 6-1 after six innings Tuesday at Parkview Field.

The Hot Rods scored four runs in the fifth inning to extend their lead. Juniel Querecuto led off the inning with a single. Tyler Goeddel drove him in with a double. Ryan Brett followed with a triple. Jake Hager then hit a two-run home run.

Hager's home run bounced off the concrete beyond left field and then came back on to the field. Base umpire John Libka originally ruled the ball was still in play. Bowling Green manager Brady Williams argued, and after Libka met with home plate umpire Alex Tosi, the call was changed.

Fort Wayne pitching coach Willie Blair argued and was kicked out of the game.
