Charges dropped for Purdue WR

Charges have been dropped stemming from the May 6 arrest of Purdue wide receiver Antavian Edison in Fort Meyers, Fla., according to a release from the school.

Edison was arrested on suspicion of carrying a concealed weapon, according to reports.

"We are pleased to know that Antavian's name has been cleared of any wrongdoing," Purdue head coach Danny Hope said in a statement. "Those of us who know Antavian always believed it was a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time."
