Wednesday, I was at North Side High School, my Alma mater, where Ed King, the band director, received Teacher of the Year! I was very happy for him, considering all the years he has taught there; 39 years! He was very humbled and surprised, he had no idea. I think it is awesome that someone teaching that long is still passionate about his work. Way to go Ed!
