Frontier Communications issued this statement today:
Frontier Communications is voluntarily informing you, our customers and to the general public residing in the New Haven, IN area. Customers in the following areas will be affected by this planned maintenance: Adams Center Road south to Tillman Road, east to I-469, north along Minnich Road, west on Moeller Road then turning north on Green Road, finally running west along US 930 until meeting back at Adams Center Road.
Frontier Communications is working in conjunction with INDOT (Indiana Department of Transportation) on their road improvement project that is occurring on Moeller Road.
Through this project, Frontier Communications is planning to conduct a series of fiber cutovers that will impact only customers on our FiOS network in the New Haven, IN area. These cutovers are scheduled to begin the week of June 3rd and continue over the next several weeks and will affect 3-4 central locations (hubs) per night between the hours of 12am and 5am.
Frontier Communications will monitor all of the Optical Network Terminal’s (ONT’s) through the Network Operations Center (NOC) located in Fort Wayne. This operation is considered planned maintenance, and any potential system outage during this time will occur between the hours of 12 AM and 5 AM. Any expected impact will be minimal as well as brief.
Our commitment to the quality of service we provide to our customers has prompted us to release this information in advance of the actual work. We apologize for any inconvenience that these service outages may cause. We are focused on providing “Customer First” quality of service by addressing existing network locations that are being affected by the INDOT project. We will complete the project as quickly as possible.
